Self-parsing event classes

Aloha Developers,

We have a lot of unparsed data in the “unknown” event class in helix for a couple of our clients. I’m having to write custom parsers in XML to upload to Helix, however the documentation is a bit light. I am wanting to parse time, date, and timestamp but am unsure how to parse, "timestamp=“2021-01-24T18:46:30-1000”. Please advise.
